It's Official: Apple Watch Nike+ Available October 28
After initially announcing the Apple Watch Series 2 Nike+ at the fall Apple Event to be released in “late October,” Apple has given us the official release date. The Apple Watch Nike+ will be available on October 28.
The Apple Watch Nike+ is geared specifically to runners. While it shares the features of the regular Apple Watch Series 2 such as built-in GPS, waterproofing, and brighter screen, it has some added features as well. It comes with a fluoroelastomer band, the same material as the original Sport Band, only it’s perforated. The holes make the band lighter and more breathable, ideal for athletes who work up a sweat.
The Apple Watch Nike+ comes with three exclusive faces featuring Nike’s iconic Volt (bright yellow-green) color. There is a complication for the Nike+ Run Club app, which is designed for this new device. The app helps you connect with friends, reminds you to get moving, and adds motivation.
The Nike+ watch comes in four colors, each in both the 38mm and 42mm size: Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black/Volt Nike Sport Band, Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black/Cool Gray Nike Sport Band, Silver Aluminum Case with Flat Silver/White Nike Sport Band, and Silver Aluminum Case with Flat Silver/Volt Nike Sport Band.
You can now pre-order the Apple Watch Series 2 Nike+, which starts at $369. Above photos from Apple, Nike. The Nike+ Run Club app is available for free on the App Store.
