Monowear Leather Band for Apple Watch Comes in Many Combinations
For owners of Apple Watches in other colors besides the Stainless Steel, it’s not always easy to find high-quality third-party bands with hardware to match your watch. Monowear Leather Bands can be ordered with adapters and buckles that go with every shade of Apple Watch. The band itself comes in Brown, Black, Red, Navy, and Créme leather. The adapters and buckle can be Stainless Steel, Space Gray, Silver Sport, Rose Gold, and Gold. You can mix and match the leather and metals any way that suits you. All colors are available in both the 38mm or 42mm size.
Monowear sent me one of these bands in Navy with the Stainless Steel adapters and buckle for review. This is an attractive, nice quality leather band. I can’t think of anything negative to say about it. The shade of navy is appealing. The leather is satisfyingly thick and sturdy while not being stiff.
The leather was straight when it arrived; I bent the band around a little bit before wearing and it molded to my wrist comfortably right away. I don’t even notice it once it’s on. The adapters slide into the Apple Watch easily and they fit properly and securely. There are 10 buckle holes. My wrist is 145mm and I wear it on the third-tightest hole, so there is plenty of room to go tighter or looser. The second loop is moveable to accommodate the excess strap whether you have a little or a lot.
While this is not a cheap band, and you can get good quality leather bands for less money, Monowear’s Leather Band is a solid choice. The band with the regular buckle like mine is $79.99. For $89.99, you can get your band with a more unique deployant buckle. The deployant models also have contrasting stitching on the sides, while the regular leather models have none.
