Enhance Your Disney World Visit With Magic Guide

March 29, 2016

Similar to the Magic Guide for Universal Studios Orlando app I reviewed recently, Magic Guide for Disney World helps you use your theme park time more efficiently.

My recent trip to Orlando included several whirlwind days in each theme park franchise. Without a lot of time to waste, I wanted to make sure I was able to get to every attraction I wanted to check out. Magic Guide for Disney World helped me plan out the Disney portion of my trip.

Since Disney World includes four theme parks, as opposed to Universal’s two, the app is a little bit more complex. Additionally, while the Universal app contains primarily ride information, the Disney one has a lot more. Shows, character meets, and parades are included in addition to the rides. It’s still based around the same idea, though. Before heading to the theme park, open up the iPhone app and select your favorite attractions. This will insure that you don’t accidentally forget anything. Once you’ve done that, you really don’t need to open up the app on your iPhone anymore. This is nice, because a long day in a theme park can be a drain on your iPhone’s battery if you’re using it a lot.

Open up the app on your wrist. There is not a glance nor a complication, but Siri works beautifully with this app. You’ll see a thumbnail menu including all four parks plus your favorites, designated with a star. Once you choose a park and an attraction, whether it’s a ride, a show, or a character visit, you’ll be the given pertinent information you need. You’ll get show times, the minimum height requirement, whether or not you can use a FastPass, and what the current wait time is.

The current wait times are only as accurate as the guests who enter them. So do everyone in the park a favor and update wait times when you notice they’re not correct. It’s easy to do within the app with just two taps: the wait time and a confirmation.

Magic Guide for Disney World helps you make your trip run more smoothly. While you’re waiting in line for one attraction, you can be on your watch planning out your next one.
