Fossil Adds Q54 Pilot To Its Line of Smart Wearables
Just a few months ago, Fossil launched its line of smart wearables dubbed the “Q-line.” Today, the company continues adding to this line of watches with a new model called the Q54 Pilot, which like the other watches has Intel-based technology for basic smartphone notifications and activity tracking.
Like the Q Grant, the Q54 Pilot uses the same case design as one of Fossil’s traditional analog watches. It pairs with either iOS or Android and can count your steps or alert you to new messages. Of course, it’s not nearly as capable as something like an Apple Watch or a Moto 360, as there is no display that allow you to read messages, control music, or view how many steps you’ve taken. Instead it’s simply logging that info and transferring it to your smartphone.
Fossil is also updating its smartphone app with better activity reporting, customizable vibration patterns and more notifications for apps. The company is also releasing a few more straps that work with its line of Q watches. Sounds familiar right?
The Q54 Pilot will be available in Spring 2016 and will cost somewhere between $175 and $215, depending on strap options.
