Second-Generation Apple Watch Expected To Ship This Fall
Apple is planning to unveil its second-generation Apple Watch sometimes this Fall, according to a new report from Digitimes.
According to Digitimes, components makers and Apple suppliers are seeing “rather conservative orders” for a new Apple Watch.
Rumors have suggested that the second-generation Apple Watch will see mostly under the hood hardware improvements such as a faster processor, FaceTime camera, GPS and perhaps smart bands.
Digitimes has obviously had a spotty track record, but we’ve heard for quite some time that the second-generation Apple Watch is due this Fall, so these reports seem to make sense. I also tend to think that it’s going to be a significant improvement over the first-generation Watch.
We’ve also heard that the iPhone 7 may be released on September 16th. It’ll be interesting to see if the Watch is also available at that time or if Apple will decide to hold a second event for the Watch. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
