You'll Soon Be Able To Add Custom Watch Faces To Your Apple Watch via a Jailbreak

May 19, 2016

The hope that watchOS 3 will allow custom Apple Watch faces isn’t stopping jailbreakers from adding this features sooner than later. A tweet from iOS developer “Maximehip” shows a screenshot of what appears to be a UI that will allow developers to finally put a Watch face other than the ones Apple provides.

The tweet, which says “[Soon] Custom and Install custom Watch Faces” along with a picture, makes us believe that we may see this available before Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) takes place on June 13, where we expect them to tell us about watchOS 3.

Our hope is that custom faces are a part of the next-generation operating system and that developers will have the opportunity to create interesting uses for something that you glance at frequently right on your wrist.

If not, we can always resort to this jailbreak.
