Plates is a powerful calculator for the most important piece of strength training equipment in your gym: the barbell. It is designed for Apple Watch so you can compute barbell configurations quickly and accurately on your wrist using minimal input.Plates is an independent, native Apple Watch App so it doesn't require your iPhone to work and you can download Plates directly from your Apple Watch. It was designed and developed for Apple's brand new, modern User Interface: SwiftUI. This means Plates loads instantly and displays a fluid, responsive user interface tailored to the Apple Watch. Plates offers direct and reverse weight input: dial in your desired numerical weight with the Digital Crown or alternatively tap plates to add them to the barbell. Both modes are always live which enables lighting quick input. When lifting heavy on the barbell, it is important to properly warm-up to a working weight. To achieve this, the lifter commonly performs a series of warm-up sets with an increasing percentage of the working weight loaded on the barbell. Since it can become complicated to determine what configuration of plates match a warm-up percentage, Plates provides an intuitive warm-up percentage function to make this automatic. Use the Digital Crown to increase your warm-up percentage or clear the percentage to restore your working weight percentage.Plate StandardizerAfter tapping plates to load onto the barbell, you may end up with a non-standard set of plates on the bar.
