The scorekeeper function with Apple Watch and the iPhone app is free of charge, advanced stats require a subscription.

You can subscribe and pay using your Apple ID on the App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID after confirming your purchase. The subscription will automatically renew if you do not cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the term. Your account will be charged for the renewal 24 hours before the expiration date of the term. Users will be able to manage their subscription and deactivate the automatic renewal option. The unused portion of a free trial period, if any, will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription. The subscription is renewed at the same price.
