Health Post

Have you ever wanted to ingest your own personal Health data into Splunk or Amazon S3 from Apple's Healthkit? Well that's what Health Post is here to help you do! Simply setup the HTTP Event Collector in Splunk or S3 Bucket in AWS, start sending your data.

If you choose to store your data in Splunk, this app can be used in combination with the corresponding Splunkbase visualization app found here: https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/4341/

Some tips for getting up and running,

1. Please use the HTTP Event Collector event endpoint. Example of that endpoint below:
http://[your_ip_or_url]:[hec_port]/services/collector/event

2. Though you can now use a self-signed certificate, for security reasons it's always best practice to use valid CA-signed certificates.

Note: This app should only be used for personally owned devices. I am in no way recommending that you use this for any covered entities, as you will be responsible for HIPAA compliance. If you do use this app with covered entities, you do so at your own risk.

Please also take note of the privacy policy. This app does not collect or store any information. The app only sends data from Healthkit to your configured Splunk instance.
