Dog Thunder

Give your anxious dog a head-start on every storm. Dog Thunder is a FREE app that predicts overnight thunder, lightning, or heavy rain and sends you a heads-up so you can medicate, grab your thundershirt, or find a quiet place for your pup before the first boom.

WHY DOG THUNDER?
* Get one smart alert. Evening storm check runs at your chosen time and only pings if bad weather is likely.
* Read a simple Red, Yellow, Green shield. Know instantly whether it’s clear, caution, or time to act.
* Fine-tune sensitivity. Enable heavy-rain alerts for pups who panic at downpours.
* Protect privacy. No ads, no accounts, no GPS tracking—just a hashed device ID & ZIP leave the phone.
* Set it & forget it. Runs 100% in the background; interrupts you only when needed.

HOW IT WORKS
* Choose a ZIP (or let Location auto-fill) and allow notifications.
* Daily at your chosen hour, Dog Thunder fetches hyper-local, storm-specific data from Visual Crossing.
* Our custom model checks CAPE/CIN, lightning strikes, and NWS watches/warnings 2–12 hours out.
* If risk is higher than threshold you’ll get a push—and, with Pro, optional SMS/email.
* Tap any alert for granular forecast details.

GO PRO (Optional Subscription)
* All-Day Monitoring (checks every 2 hours for weather changes)
* SMS and Email alerts for higher visibility
* Apple Watch app for wrist alerts, forecasts and at-a-glance complications
* Try Pro free for 14 days; after that it auto-renews monthly ($1.99) or yearly ($14.99). Manage or cancel anytime in Settings.
