The Story of Caddieapp, by Doug (it's creator):

Several years ago, I was playing a new course and found that the golf app on my Apple Watch wasn’t working as expected. It showed distances based on where my phone was, not where I was actually standing. It also didn’t show the course map on my watch, so I had to keep going back to my phone to view it. That’s when I decided to build an app that was simple, had the features casual golfers need most, and didn’t rely on the phone at all.

A few months later, the first version of Caddieapp was born. Staying true to its motto: “Keep It Simple,” it focused on clear maps, accurate distances, and easy scorekeeping, right on the watch. As more golfers found the app, those without an Apple Watch liked the simplicity and asked for a phone version. So, I created Caddieapp for iPhone. It works just like the watch app but is designed for one-handed use. That way, you can easily carry a club and get a distance or enter a score at the same time.

That brings us to today. The latest version includes a new trial mode that lets you try Caddieapp for free at one course with no time limit. That way, you can take as much time as you need to figure out if it’s for you, and if so, you can subscribe to unlock access to more courses. (It doesn’t have every course, but we’ll quickly add them by request) Caddieapp has become essential for me, and it’s hard to imagine playing without it. I hope that it can help you too!
