Arcsine Distribution

In probability theory the Arcsine Distribution is the probability distribution whose cumulative distribution function is 0 greater x less 1 and whose probability density function is on (0,1). The Arcsine Distribution is a special case of the Beta Distribution with a = b = 1/2.

For Data Entry the Arcsine Distribution app for iPad and iPhone utilizes one Slider to enter a Random Variable (x). . The range of the Random Variable is [0.01-0.99] divided into 0.01 segments.

The Arcsine Distribution app graphs the Arcsine Proability Density Function Graph f(x) and the Arcsine Cumulative Distribution Graph F(x).

The Data Tables and Graphs increment the (x) variable 200 times with an increment values of 0.01 with -1.0 greater x less1.0.

The graphs are touch enabled. Upon touching the graph a vertical line appears. Move the vertical line to the left or right to display the point (x/f(x)) data in the upper left of the graph.

The horizontal x-axis displays x values. The vertical y-axis plots a range of F(x) values.

Horizontal Max and Min dashed line display the Maximum and Minimum F(x) values
