New watchOS 3.2.2 Contains Bug Fixes, Security Updates

May 16, 2017

Yesterday Apple released watchOS 3.2.2 along with iOS 10.3.2 and tvOS 10.2.1. The minor software update contains bug fixes and security updates. There are no new features with this update.

As always, in order to update your Apple Watch to watchOS 3.2.2, open the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap the My Watch tab and scroll down to General. Tap it, and then tap Software Update. You should see watchOS 3.2.2 available to download and install.

Before you do so, make sure your Apple Watch has at least a 50 percent charge. Your Apple Watch must be on the charger, and your iPhone must be nearby. Make sure you have enough time for the entire installation before you start. I updated to watchOS 3.2.2 last night; it took just under an hour.

In case you’re still on watchOS 3.1.x, note that watchOS 3.2 did bring some nice new features to the Apple Watch: Theater Mode, SiriKit for apps, and new watch face colors.

It’s likely that this is the last software update we’ll see before WWDC in less than three weeks.
