Apple Watch 2 With GPS, Barometer, Larger Battery, and Same Thickness Due This Fall
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo issued a note to investors today predicting many of the features he expects to see in the second-generation Apple Watch.
Kuo, who has made accurate predictions in the past, says that the Apple Watch 2 will retain the same display size as well as same overall thickness, but that the it will come with a larger battery, a TSMC-built processor, GPS and barometer sensors, waterproofing, and a higher capacity battery.
He also predicts that the first-generation Apple Watch will get a minor update and will have improved waterproofing as well as a slightly faster chip, as well as a lower entry price.
Kuo did not confirm if the second-generation Apple Watch would include expanded Wi-Fi capablities as well as FaceTime camera, something that’s been rumored for some time now.
