watchOS 2.2 Now Available
Along with iOS 9.3 today, Apple has officially released watchOS 2.2 for all Apple Watch models. With watchOS 2.2, iPhone’s running 9.3 or later can now pair multiple Apple Watch models to a single iPhone, rather than having to un-pair and re-pair, a process that was both lengthy and annoying.
watch OS 2.2 also includes an updated Maps app that allows you to more easily search as well as get directions to your favorite places.
The Glance card for Maps has also been updated. Previously the Maps Glance showed your current location, but now the Glance provides easy shortcuts for navigating Home, Work and even checking for Nearby locations of restaurants and such.
The glance card for Maps, which gives you quick access from the watch face, has also been updated in watchOS 2.2. Previously, the glance showed your current location, which was really only useful if you woke up in an unfamiliar location for some reason. The updated Maps glance presents shortcuts for navigating home, to work, finding search, and checking Nearby.
To upgrade to watchOS 2.2, you need to go to the Watch app on your iPhone running iOS 9.3 or later and tap on General > Software update. From there, you’ll need to make sure your Watch is on a charger and has at least 50 percent charge. It should take about 15 minutes or so to update. Good luck!
