Apple Drops Apple Watch Starting Price To $299

Apple has just announced a price drop for the Apple Watch, which now starts at $299 for the 38mm Sport model. This represents a $50 price drop from the launch price of $349. The $299 price drop includes variations of the Apple Watch sport with either the Sport band or the new Nylon band which comes in 7 colors variations.

Apple has also reduced the starting price of the 42mm Apple Watch Sport to $349, down from it’s initial starting price of $399.

It’s important to keep in mind that many retailers such as Target and Best Buy have been offering $100 discounts on the Apple Watch for quite some time. We’re curious if that means that they’ll be offering the Watch for as low $199 in the coming months.

Either way, Apple has reduced the price of the Watch. Hopefully $299 is the starting price for the Apple Watch 2 which is rumored to his this fall.
