Stay Sharp With Brain Challenge On Your Apple Watch

February 27, 2016

I’m not huge on gaming in the first place, much less on the tiny screen of the Apple Watch, but this is fun, quick challenge you can do anytime. There is no learning curve; the challenges are simple but timed to keep you motivated.

Brain Challenge is free, which gives you a chance to try out three different games. There are 15 in all. If you want the rest of the games, then you’ll have to pay for the $4.99 in-app purchase. I just played the initial three games.

Brain Challenge

You have 30 seconds to complete the given task correctly as many times as you can. The first game, Mental Math, shows a simple equation. You tap “Yes” if the math is correct, “No” if it’s not. The second game is called Word Color. The name of a color will pop up, and it will be shown in the named color or a different one. Again, your response will be “Yes” or “No.” The third game is Count Circles. A number of circles will be shown on the screen, and you will have two buttons from which to choose. One button will show the correct number of circles, the other an incorrect number.

You can also play Brain Challenge on your iPhone, where the same games are slightly more complex, and your player statistics are tracked. Frankly, I think it’s a finer app on the iPhone than on the Apple Watch, but I know that some people are always looking for fun little games to play on the watch. Sometimes you can’t be on your phone, but you can use your watch.

I think you’ll have a pretty good idea from playing the three included games if you’ll want to upgrade to the premium package. Either way, if you have 30 seconds, you can give your mind a bite-sized challenge with a few taps on your Apple Watch. Brain Challenge is free on the App Store.
