Pad and Quill's Lowry Cuff has become my new favorite Apple Watch band

February 1, 2016

I got to review Pad & Quill’s Lowry Cuff, and the piece just went live at AppAdvice. You can read through the whole thing, but the bottom line is that this is a fine piece of craftsmanship that complements the Apple Watch itself perfectly.

After reviewing HyperLink, a Kickstarter-funded stainless steel bracelet, and trying both the Sport Band and Classic Buckle, I’d been interested to see if Pad & Quill’s Hermès-inspired Lowry Cuff would or could serve as a decent alternative (while at the same time also justifying the $120 asking price). It does all this and more: the band itself is the most comfortable I’ve worn, I think it looks great (others do too), and though pricey, it’s a heck of a lot less expensive than Hermès’ own Cuff (and is priced fairly in line with Apple’s own bands). Pad & Quill’s band should also fit most wrists, too; this hand been a concern for me, though it’s something which proved not to be an issue:

I did have to tighten the band after a day or so of use, moving it a notch up, but this is common with leather bands (the material relaxes after you’ve worn it for a few days). However, there are plenty of notches either side for me to take advantage of if I want do, which is nice to see (especially since I don’t have huge wrists).

You can check out my entire review by clicking this link. As mentioned, Pad & Quill’s Lowry Cuff will cost you somewhere in the region of $120 (it’s currently available for slightly less than this as part of a limited-time sale), and in my opinion, it’s worth the price.
