Samsung's Gear S2 Classic Now Comes in Platinum and Gold
Samsung is adding two new finishes to its Gear S2 smartwatch today with new platinum and gold options for the S2 Classic. The new finishes are fancier and a bit more upscale than the black metal S2 released earlier this year and will come with a higher price tag. The company isn’t saying exactly how much more, but given that they’re only plated in 18K gold and Platinum, we don’t expect them to be anything crazy, like say the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition.
In terms of unction, these new S2 Classics are exactly the same as the original one released earlier this year. The new models do have a few extra watch faces designed specifically for them along with new straps and bracelets, but other than that they work and function exactly the same.
Samsung says the new models will be available in February, but pricing has not yet beeb revealed.
