Apple is Still Promoting its Remote App for Apple Watch

A casual visit over to the Apple Watch Apps page shows that apple is still promoting its Remote App for Apple Watch. Of course, if you have an Apple Watch and you happened to buy a new Apple TV, you’ll know that Apple’s Remote app on both the iPhone and the Watch don’t work. What’s bothersome is that we haven’t heard anything from Apple about a potential update. Nothing from Eddy Cue or anyone from the executive team. Is Apple working an update that they plan to push out in the near future or is this something we should just forget exists?

My guess (and hope) is that Apple has something in the works and it’s simply not ready yet. I also think it’s not just a basic update that allows current Remote App to work with Apple TV. I think it’s something much more dramatic.

Maybe we’ll see something with the tvOS 9.1.
