Apple Watch Sales Topped $1.7 billion In 5 Months
Even though Apple hasn’t shared any specific sales numbers for its Apple Watch, disclosures made by the company reveal that the company reached $1.7 billion in sales by the end of September as noted by VenureBeat.
As part of Apple’s quarterly 10-Q filing with the SEC, Apple said it saw over 100 percent year-over-year growth for its “Other” category of products, which includes Apple TV, iPods, accessories, and of course Apple Watch.
Interestingly, Apple’s catch-all category grew from about $8.379 billion in 2014 to about $10.067 billion in fiscal 2015. This suggests that the Apple Watch represents close to $1.7 billion in sales for fiscal 2015.
The Apple Watch didn’t launch until late April, meaning that it’s only been available for 5 months, since fiscal 2014 ended on September 26.
Are we still going to call Apple Watch a flop?
