Apple Voted 'Coolest Wearable' Brand In Survey
The Apple Watch is considered to be the coolest wearable, according to a poll of just over 2,000 smartphone users.
Apple earned its status when it was pitted against 20 other brands in survey released by Juniper Research. According to Juniper, the smartwatch market is moving toward a two-company race between Apple and Samsung, where nearly 75 percent of respondents gave a “thumbs-up” to the two tech companies.
Interestingly, tech companies were ranked amongst the best for wearable devices, ahead of fashion and sport brands. Apple, Samsung, and Google ranked in the top three for coolest brands, while fashion brands like Tag Heuer and Omega were further down the list. Pebble ranked nearly last, just ahead of Xiaomi.
Battery life was cited as an obstacle, but only 4 percent of respondents said it would prevent them from buying a device.
Another interesting bit of info was that respondents who use an iPhone were more likely to buy a wearable versus those who use an Android device, regardless of whether or not it was the Apple Watch.
