Elon Musk Tries To Smooth Things Over After Comments on Apple

Elon Musk is attempting to quickly put out a fire he started yesterday when laughed at what Apple has done with the Apple Watch, joking that the company couldn’t build a car if this is what they could do in the watch space. In a series of tweets, Musk basically says that he has quite a bit of respect for Apple, but still says that the Watch needs work.

I happeen to agree with Musk in terms of the Watch and that it needs work. In fact, I believe that it will be a mainstream product in 2-3 years time as I’ve suggested in the past. In terms of the car, it’s too early to dismiss a company like Apple from building something great. The company has by far the best supply chain management in tech. They also happen to have a world class design team, and an control over and OS that dominates many of the smartphones and tablets we use everyday. To dismiss them this early is probably not wise.
