How to Wear Your Apple Watch 24/7
David Smith has released a new native Apple Watch app called Sleep++, an app that uses the Apple Watch to track your sleep. While the app idea is interesting, Smith decided he wanted to figure out a way to charge his Watch quickly during the day so that he could sleep with it on at night.
What he found out was interesting:
The TL/DR is to charge your Apple Watch in the morning while you get ready for your day (take a shower, get dressed, etc) and then again in the evening while you get ready for bed (brush teeth, put on pajamas, etc). Then put your Apple Watch in Airplane Mode while you sleep.
I’ve actually done this a couple of times and have found that charging my Watch for just 30 minutes in the morning can keep it going all day, even when I work out for 30-45 minutes. So, if you’re someone who wishes they could wear their Watch all day and all night, its’ really not all that hard.
Plus, now you can track yourself, something I certainly plan on doing and incorporating into Apple’s Health app.
