Second gen Moto 360 Unveiled: 46mm and 42mm, Multiple Straps
After months of speculation (and some leaks), Motorola has officially unveiled the second-generation Moto 360 smartwatch. This year’s models look very similar but have some interesting tweaks to set itself apart, including a Sport version.
In terms of differences, the side-button has been moved from the 3 o’clock position to the 2 o’lock position, making it easier to access, sort of like the Apple Watch. Motorola has also added lugs to the watch in order to give the watch a more classy look as well as make changing bands easier. With the numerous straps Motorola is adding, it looks like Motorola is hoping to sell you a bunch of bands.
The “flat tire” is unfortunately still there, but Motorola says that that’s the sacrifice made in order to keep bezels as thin as possible. To point that out, Motorola says that its screen takes up 71.7% of the front while its nearest rival, the LG G Watch R, only takes up 50.5%.
The new Moto 360 is available for pre-order today on Motorola.com as well as Google Play and Best Buy. Pricing starts at $299 and ranges all the way up to $499.
