Apple Starts Selling Third-Party Apple Watch Accessories in Retail Stores
As noted by MacRumors, Apple has begun selling third-party Apple Watch accessories in its retail stores with the very first being the ElevationLabs Nightstand.
Priced at $29.95, the Nightstand takes advantage of the upcoming Night mode that will be available in watchOS 2, allowing you the lay your watch sideways with a dedicated alarm app running. Interestingly, the colors of the Nightstand match the Sport band colors exactly giving those of us with Sport band the opportunity to have something that both docks our Apple Watch and nicely matches.
MacRumors says that that the Nightstand from ElevationLabs is currently the only accessory Apple is offering right now, but that more are likely on the way.
The Nightstand is one of the very few docks that lets you easily dock your Watch on it side, though more have sprung up including one from Spigen. If you’re interested in learning more about these docks, check out this writeup of our favorites. You can also grab the Spigen one for $11 on Amazon.
