Samsung Teases Gear S2 with Rotating Bezel in Latest Video
Towards the end of Samsung’s recent Unpacked event, Samsung gave us a glimpse at its upcoming wearable dubbed the Gear S2. The device, which will be fully unveiled next month at IFA in Berlin promises to be round and different in ways we have yet to see. And today the company has posted a teaser video showing off some of its functions.
The video shows highlights from the user interface including watch faces, maps, weather and more. It’s seems clear that the UI is not Android Wear-based and will probably have Samsung’s own proprietary software installed, potentially Tizen. It also looks like the watch will come with a built-in heart rate monitor.
Samsung also looks to be going with a rotating bezel rather than a Digital Crown like Apple. It’ll be interesting to see how Samsung uses this function through various apps.
We won’t have to wait long to find out.
