Is This The Next Moto 360?

August 14, 2015

9to5Google has posted what is potentially the next Moto 360. Apparently Motorola tweeted a link to a video showing a Moto 360 that doesn’t actually look like the current Moto 360. The only conclusion at the moment is that this is the successor to last years version.

Right away there are two noticeable differences between the smartwatch in the video and the Moto 360. The first is that the Moto 360 doesn’t include large lugs — the extensions at the top and bottom of a watch where the band is connected — like the ones seen in the video. These lugs are quite reminiscent of what you might see on a more traditional analog watch. The second difference is minor, and it’s that the crown is slightly higher up on the side of the watch.

If this really is the next Moto 360, I can’t help but laugh at the possibility that they didn’t get rid of that horrible chop job at the bottom of the circle. I mean, every round Android Wear smartwatch in existance has apparently figured a way to get rid of it. If Motorola didn’t, I don’t think that’s going to be good.

I guess we’ll just have to wait. In the meantime, watch the video they posted below and tell us what you think.
