Apple Watch Satisfaction Tops iPhone and iPad Amongst Current Owners
According to a survey conducted by research firm Wristly and Creative Strategies, overall customer satisfaction of the Apple Watch is at a whopping 97%, the highest satisfaction rating of any first-generation Apple product ever. The score was determined by combing the results of “Very Satisfied” (66%) with “Somewhat Satisfied” (31%).
At 97%, this puts Apple Watch customer SAT (satisfaction for those of you don’t watch Tim Cook) higher than the 92% and 91% that represented the iPhone and iPad respectively during their debut. Not bad.
The data is based on something called the Wristly Apple Watch Owner Network, which is essentially a panel of over a thousand Apple Watch buyers. Wristly claims that its questions ensure that its respondents are not purely Apple fans and early adopters, but instead cover a wide range of Apple Watch owners. According to Wristly, only 34% of of respondents are “tech insiders” and more than half (53%) are “non-tech” users.
What has been fascinating about the Wristly Apple Watch Panel is how diverse it is across the adoption cycle spectrum. We have those on the bleeding edge of adoption all the way through mainstream consumers who aren’t buying it for the sake of Apple fanaticism or love of tech and gadgetry but because they saw the utility and usefulness of the product right off the bat. They are all represented in our panel.
Some tech pundits have heavily scrutinized the Apple Watch since its launch, using words like “flop” and “skepticism” to describe its early days. It’s interesting to see that when asked by real people in the real world, these numbers seem to paint a different picture.
