How To Get Live Sports Scores on Your Apple Watch Face

July 14, 2015

Reddit user ptowndude, has posted a short tutorial on how he was able to get live sports scores on his Apple Watch face using the Modular watch face combined with Google Calendar.

We’ve outlined his steps below to make the process of doing this a little more easier:

  1. First, you’ll need to add your favorite sports team(s) to your Google Calendar. This is accomplished by logging into your Google Calendar on your web browser.
  2. On the left sidebar of the calendar page, click on the drop down menu next to “Other Calendars” and select “Browse Interesting Calendars.”
  3. Under the Sports tab, you can then select your sport, league and team. The schedule will be then automatically added to your calendar. Note: that you also need to enable your Google Calendar on your iPhone.
  4. Once you’ve done this, make sure that you select the Modular watch face on your Apple Watch and make sure that you have the calendar enabled in the “customize” screen (it is enabled by default).
  5. The score will then show up during game time. Google actually updates the scores as the game is going on, so your calendar will update with the correct score throughout the game. Note: This trick might not work if you have another calendar appointment during the game time.
