Rumor: Apple Working On Improved Outdoor Visibility With Apple Watch 2
According to a report out of Korea (via 9to5Mac), Apple is focused on improving the the outdoor visibility of the next generation Apple Watch, rather than focusing on changing the resolution or display size. Just a few day ago DisplayMate put out a report showing how Apple’s ION-X Glass, found in the Apple Watch Sport, performed better in sunlight than the sapphire found on both the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition. The report also claims that Apple is looking to thin out components in order to reduce weight so that it can fit a larger battery, something that would be welcomed by most despite the great battery life we’ve seen on the current Apple Watch.
Of course, these are all rumors so take it with a grain of salt. Plus, the Apple Watch has only been out for a few months now. Surly we have a while to go before we see the next-generation Apple Watch.
