Original Grain Wants You To Wear Their Watch, And An Apple Watch... At The Same Time

The folks over at Original Grain have just launched a new Kickstarter campaign for a new Watch/Band combo that they’re calling The Barrel Duo – a band that allows you to wear their traditional analog watch on one side of your wrist while at the same time wear an Apple Watch on the other side of your wrist. Sounds weird, I know.

According to Original Grain, their custom clasp “links directly from the band of the Barrel into the Apple Watch lugs, providing easy on and off capabilities and a seamless look. Even the Apple Watch lugs themselves are custom molded to fit the DUO clasp.” It’s an interesting approach for sure, but not one that I personally find very appealing. Still, it’s cool to see a company embracing the Apple Watch as a way to compliment a traditional analog watch. Most Watch companies today seem to either be dismissive of the smartwatch entirely or are trying to build their own.

The Duo will set you back at least $149 if you’re an early backer with the company hoping to ship in October 2015.
