Apple to Sell Limited-Edition Olympic Apple Watch Bands

July 22, 2016

Apple will begin offering limited-edition Apple Watch bands with various flags in time for the 2016 Olympic games, according to GQ. The bands will come in 14 different flag variations just as the games kick off in August.Watch42Band-Olympic-Flat-SouthAfrica-SCREEN

There’s is some bad news thought. It looks like if you want any of these limited edition bands, you’ll have to be in Brazil to get them. Yep, that’s right. Unless you’re at the Olympics it doesn’t look like you’ll be able to buy these bands. Womp, womp.

The various flag designs are done on Apple’s newly-designed Nylon bands which were introduced earlier this year. Countries include Australia, USA, Canada, China, Brazil, Great Britain, The Netherlands, South Africa, New Zealand, Mexico, Japan, Jamaica, France, and Germany.

The bands will retail for $49 a piece.

I’m hoping that Apple changes its mind and decides to sell these bands at all Apple Stores. After all, e-commerce has allowed us to buy good from various parts of the world. And plus, the United States is a melting pot of different ethnicities. Why should I be allowed to buy that represents Germany if I’m German?
