The MoKo Milanese Loop is a Great Discount Alternative to Apple's
Apple’s Milanese Loop is a popular style; it looks good, wears comfortably, and dresses up the Apple Watch. Its infinite adjustability means that your wrist size never ends up between buckle holes. But the $149 price tag puts it beyond many people’s budgets. If you’re looking for a far cheaper alternative, the MoKo Milanese Loop is one to check out.
I recently had the opportunity to review the MoKo Milanese Loop in the shade called Colorful. I loved it right away. In my photos, I tried to capture the way it sparkles in the sun, reflects light, and seems to change color when you move. Colorful won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but this band comes in a number of other shades to suit all tastes. MoKo thankfully did not put their logo on the magnetic end of the band as some companies do.
The adapters don’t quite slide on like butter, but they do fit fine once they’re on, and are quite secure. The magnetic clasp is strong and does not slide around at all while I’m wearing it. I never feel like my Apple Watch is in danger of falling off. One thing to note, like every Milanese-style knock-off I have ever tested, the outside of the magnet isn’t well-shielded. This means that you might stick to metal objects you rest your wrist against. It’s a minor annoyance and doesn’t cause the watch to slip, but it’s something to be aware of.
The band is comfortable to wear, looks fantastic, and will definitely be part of my regular rotation. You can purchase the MoKo Milanese Loop on Amazon in 38mm or 42mm sizes. MoKo says the band will fit wrist sizes ranging from 135mm to 240mm and this seems accurate to me; my wrist is 145mm and there was still a bit of room to go tighter and a lot of room to go looser. The colors available are Silver, Brass Gold, Brass Gold 2 (I’d call it Rose Gold), Coffee, Colorful, and Space Gray; all colors and sizes are $19.99.
